Causing discussion forum activity to show up in the Needs Grading tool
in the Blackboard Learn
Grade Center.
To do this,
go to the discussion forum
whose activity you wish to show up in Needs Grading
and click the action link next to the forum,
selecting edit.
On the edit forums screen, scroll down
to this entry:"Show participants in needs grading status after every so many posts.
Check the check box
and select
the number of posts
after which you wish
activity to be indicated in Needs Grading,
typically each one post.
In an extremely active
discussion forum,
you might not want to be reminded that you have things to grade every time
a student makes a single post. You might want to have them have to make
two or three or more posts
before "tripping" the
indication in Needs Grading.
But you have that option here.
Submit to save the change.
Now, if you go to needs grading,
in the Grade Center
there will be an indication that grading needs to be done for this student
in
that discussion forum.
You can do so by clicking the
action link and selecting
Grade all Users.
You'll be presented with all of the posts for that student.
You can proceed to grade them in the normal way.
