You can use OneSearch to find books along with
other sources. Here are a few tips and tricks to
    help you.
If you are looking to see if we have a specific
book, put the book’s title in the search box.
I am looking for a book called Animal rights:
what everyone needs to know. If you place
quotation marks around the book’s title, it will
force OneSearch to look for the title as a phrase.
This is usually only necessary if the book’s title
is short or consists of very common words.
Another approach would be to put in a few words
from the title and the author’s last name.
In this case, the author’s last name is Waldau,
so I will type: animal rights Waldau
This looks like our book’s title, but look here to
make sure the entry you are looking at is for the
    actual book.
Sometimes a book review will come up instead
    of the book itself.
You can get rid of book reviews by going to the
left hand column and clicking “items in the
    library catalog”.
If you have tried these steps and the book still
doesn’t come up, then we probably don’t own it,
though we still could get it for you from another
    library through interlibrary loan.
Now I’m going to search for any book we might
have on the topic of animal rights.
When searching for any book, limiting to the
books/ebooks category under content type is a
    good way to start.
But some of the results that come back will have
the citation only and aren’t books that we own,
    like this one.
Clicking “items in the library catalog” will limit it
to books that we own either in print or as full –
    text ebooks.
If you need help finding a book on a topic, don’t
hesitate to go to the library reference desk for
    additional help.
