Now that you have reviewed and agreed to the
academic advising agreement, the next few
modules will prepare you for your academic advising and registration session. This video will
cover checking your registration holds. To check
your registration holds, you will need to log into your myUH portal. Open your Internet
browser and go to the Maui College home page at
www.maui.hawaii.edu and click myUH portal in the top right hand corner. Log into your myUH
portal with your username and password.The left
hand side of your portal home page will have different portal features. To check your
registration holds click view holds. If you do not
have a hold, you may proceed to step 3 – Compass test results. If your student account
has any registration holds the page will display
which holds are on your account. Holds on your account will prevent you from registering for
courses or from performing any actions on your
student account. NSO Academic advising holds indicate that you must complete the New Student
Orientation registration steps as well as attend a
New Student Orientation advising session. NSO Academic Advising holds will be lifted once the
student has completed the NSO registration
steps and has attended an NSO advising session. For more information, call Student Life
at (808) 984-3434. Health holds such as TB and
MMR (Mumps, Measles, and Rubella) indicate that you have not submitted your TB
and/or MMR health records. To clear this hold you
must submit your TB and/or MMR records to the UH Maui College Health Center or FAX (808)
242-1578. Health holds take approximately 48
hours to lift once the UHMC Health Center has confirmed your record. For information, call (808)
984-3493. Financial obligation holds indicate that
you have a monetary balance owed on your student account. To clear this kind of hold, you
may pay the balance at the UHMC Cashier’s
office located in the Ho‘okipa Building or you may pay online through your myUH portal. If you pay
online, you must call the Cashier’s office at (808)
984-3257 to have your hold removed. Financial obligation holds usually take one business day to
remove.
