him.
He

all
happened
at

on

John
was
baptizing.

him
who

He
did
not
fail
to
confess,
but
confessed
freely,
"I

Daniel
prays
that
God
would
remember
His
people
in
Babylon…
Daniel
9:21
while
I
was
still
in
prayer,
Gabriel,
the
man
I
had
seen
in
the
earlier
vision,
came
to
me
in
swift
flight
about
the
time
of
the
evening
sacrifice.
Daniel,
I
have
now
come
to
give
you
insight
and
understanding.
As
soon
as
you
began
to
pray,
an
answer
was
given,
which
I
have
come
to
tell
you,
for
you
are
highly
esteemed.
Therefore,
consider
the
message
and
understand
the
vision:
“Seventy
‘sevens’
are
decreed
for
your
people
and
your
holy
city
to
finish
transgression,
to
put
an
end
to
sin,
to
atone
for
wickedness,
to
bring
in
everlasting
righteousness,
to
seal
up
vision
and
prophecy
and
to
anoint
the
most
holy.
“Know
and
understand
this:
From
the
issuing
of
the
decree
to
restore
and
rebuild
Jerusalem
until
the
Anointed
One,
the
ruler,
comes,
there
will
be
seven
‘sevens,’
and
sixty-two
‘sevens.’
It
will
be
rebuilt
with
streets
and
a
trench,
but
in
times
of
trouble.
After
the
sixty-two
‘sevens,’
the
Anointed
One
will
be
cut
off
and
will
have
nothing.
The
people
of
the
ruler
who
will
come
will
destroy
the
city
and
the
sanctuary.
The
end
will
come
like
a
flood:
War
will
continue
until
the
end,
and
desolations
have
been
decreed.

John

John

Isaiah
the
prophet,
"I
am

voice
of

in
the

Isaiah
40:1-5
Comfort,
comfort
my
people,

your

tenderly
to
Jerusalem,
and
proclaim
to
her
that
her
hard
service
has
been
completed,
that
her
sin
has
been
paid
for,
that
she
has
received
from
the
Lord's
hand
double
for
all
her
sins.
A
voice
of
one
calling:
"In
the
desert
prepare
the
way

the

make
straight

a
highway
for
our
God.
Isaiah
40:1-5
Every
valley
shall
be
raised
up,
every
mountain
and
hill
made
low;
the
rough
ground
shall
become
level,
the
rugged
places
a
plain.
And
the
glory
of
the
LORD
will
be
revealed,

all
mankind
together
will
see
it.
For
the
mouth
of
the

has
spoken."
Zechariah
9:9
Rejoice
greatly,
O
Daughter
of
Zion!
Shout,
Daughter
of
Jerusalem!
See,
your
king

to
you,
righteous
and

salvation,
gentle
and
riding

a
donkey,
on
a
colt,
the
foal

But
what

you

out

A

Yes,
I
tell
you,
and
more
than
a
prophet.
This
is
the
one
about
whom
it
is
written:
“’I

who

Malachi
3:1
"See,

who
will
prepare

me.
Then
suddenly
the
Lord

whom
you

will

Matthew
17:10-13
The
disciples
asked
him,
"Why
then
do
the
teachers
of
the
law
say
that
Elijah
must
come
first?"
Jesus
replied,
"To
be
sure,
Elijah
comes
and
will
restore
all
things.
But
I
tell
you,
Elijah
has
already
come,
and
they
did
not
recognize
him,
but
have
done
to
him
everything
they
wished.
In
the
same
way
the
Son
of
Man
is
going
to
suffer
at
their
hands."
Then
the
disciples
understood
that
he
was
talking
to
them
about
John
the
Baptist.
John

Luke
7:26-28
I
tell
you,
among
those
born
of
women
there
is
no
one
greater
than
John;
yet
the
one
who
is
least
in
the
kingdom
of
God
is
greater
than
he.”
John
1:24-27
Now
some
Pharisees
who
had
been
sent
questioned
him,
"Why
then
do
you
baptize
if
you
are
not
the
Christ,
nor
Elijah,
nor
the
Prophet?"
"I
baptize
with
water,"
John
replied,
"but
among
you
stands
one
you
do
not
know.
He
is
the
one
who
comes
after
me,
the
thongs
of
whose
sandals
I
am
not
worthy
to
untie."
John
1:29-31
The
next
day
John
saw
Jesus
coming
toward
him
and
said,
"Look,
the
Lamb
of
God,
who
takes
away
the
sin
of
the
world!
This
is
the
one
I
meant
when
I
said,
'A
man
who
comes
after
me
has
surpassed
me
because
he
was
before
me.'
I
myself
did
not
know
him,
but
the
reason
I
came
baptizing
with
water
was
that
he
might
be
revealed
to
Israel."
John
1:32-34
Then
John
gave
this
testimony:
"I
saw
the
Spirit
come
down
from
heaven
as
a
dove
and
remain
on
him.
I
would
not
have
known
him,
except
that
the
one
who
sent
me
to
baptize
with
water
told
me,
'The
man
on
whom
you
see
the
Spirit
come
down
and
remain
is
he
who
will
baptize
with
the
Holy
Spirit.‘
I
have
seen
and
I
testify
that
