with
a
request.
Wouldn’t
you
like
to
see
Jesus
also?
Sir,
we
would
like
to
see
Jesus.

What

can
you
show
us
to
prove
your
authority
to
do
all
this?
Destroy
this
temple,
and
I
will
raise
it
again
in
three
days!
Just
as
Moses
lifted
up
the
snake
in
the
desert,
so
the
Son
of
Man
must
be
lifted
up,
that
everyone
who
believes
in
him
may
have
eternal
life.
Physical

For
God
so
loved
the
world
that
he
gave
his
one

only
Son,
that
whoever
believes
in
him
shall
not
perish

John
4:6
Jacob's
well
was
there,
and
Jesus,
tired
as
he
was
from
the
journey,
sat
down
by
the
well.
It
was
about
the
sixth
hour.
(His
disciples
had
gone
into
the
town
to
buy
food.)

I

Then
the
father

that
this

Jesus

If
anyone
is
thirsty,
let
him
come
to
me
and
drink.
Whoever
believes
in
me,
as
the
Scripture
has
said,
streams
of
living
water
will
flow
from
within
him.
On
the
last
and
greatest
day
of
the
Feast…
John
7:40-53
On
hearing
his
words,
some
of
the
people
said,
"Surely
this
man
is
the
Prophet."
Others
said,
"He
is
the
Christ."
Still
others
asked,
"How
can
the
Christ
come
from
Galilee?
Does
not
the
Scripture
say
that
the
Christ
will
come
from
David's
family
and
from
Bethlehem,
the
town
where
David
lived?"
Thus
the
people
were
divided
because
of
Jesus.
Some
wanted
to
seize
him,
but
no
one
laid
a
hand
on
him.
John
7:40-53
Finally
the
temple
guards
went
back
to
the
chief
priests
and
Pharisees,
who
asked
them,
"Why
didn't
you
bring
him
in?"
"No
one
ever
spoke
the
way
this
man
does,"
the
guards
declared.
"You
mean
he
has
deceived
you
also?"
the
Pharisees
retorted.
"Has
any
of
the
rulers
or
of
the
Pharisees
believed
in
him?
No!
But
this
mob
that
knows
nothing
of
the
law--there
is
a
curse
on
them.“
John
7:40-53
Nicodemus,
who
had
gone
to
Jesus
earlier
and
who
was
one
of
their
own
number,
asked,
"Does
our
law
condemn
anyone
without
first
hearing
him
to
find
out
what
he
is
doing?"
They
replied,
"Are
you
from
Galilee,
too?
Look
into
it,
and
you
will
find
that
a
prophet
does
not
come
out
of
Galilee."
Then
each
went
to
his
own
home.
8:1
But
Jesus
went
to
the
Mount
of
Olives.

John
8:2
At
dawn
he
appeared
again
in
the
temple
courts,
where
all
the
people
gathered
around
him,
and
he
sat
down
to
teach
them.
John
8:3,4
The
teachers
of
the
law
and
the
Pharisees
brought
in
a
woman
caught
in
adultery.
They
made
her
stand
before
the
group
and
said
to
Jesus,
"Teacher,
this
woman
was
caught
in
the
act
of
adultery.
John
8:5,6
In
the
Law
Moses
commanded
us
to
stone
such
women.
Now
what
do
you
say?"
They
were
using
this
question
as
a
trap,
in
order
to
have
a
basis
for
accusing
him.
John
8:6b
But
Jesus
bent
down
and
started
to
write
on
the
ground
with
his
finger.
John
8:7
When
they
kept
on
questioning
him,
he
straightened
up
and
said
to
them,
"If
any
one
of
you
is
without
sin,
let
him
be
the
first
to
throw
a
stone
at
her.“
John
8:8
Again
he
stooped
down
and
wrote
on
the
ground.

CRAIG
John
8:9
At
this,
those
who
heard
began
to
go
away
one
at
a
time,
the
older
ones
first,
until
only
Jesus
was
left,
with
the
woman
still
standing
there.
CRAIG
John
8:10,11
Jesus
straightened
up
and
asked
her,
"Woman,
where
are
they?
Has
no
one
condemned
you?"
"No
one,
sir,"
she
said.
"Then
neither
do
I
condemn
you,"
Jesus
declared.
"Go
now
and
leave
your
life
of
sin."
Hosea
7:1-4
"Whenever
I
would
restore
the
fortunes
of
my
people,
whenever
I
would
heal
Israel,
the
sins
of
Ephraim
are
exposed
and
the
crimes
of
Samaria
revealed.
They
practice
deceit,
thieves
break
into
houses,
bandits
rob
in
the
streets;
but
they
do
not
realize
that
I
remember
all
their
evil
deeds.
Their
sins
engulf
them;
they
are
always
before
me.
"They
delight
the
king
with
their
wickedness,
the
princes
with
their
lies.
They
are
all
adulterers,
burning
like
an
oven
whose
fire
the
baker
need
not
stir
from
the
kneading
of
the
dough
till
it
rises.
Jeremiah
31:33,34
"This
is
the
covenant
I
will
make
with
the
house
of
Israel
after
that
time,"
declares
the
LORD.
"I
will
put
my
law
in
their
minds
and
write
it
on
their
hearts.
I
will
be
their
God,
and
they
will
be
my
people.
No
longer
will
a
man
teach
his
neighbor,
or
a
man
his
brother,
saying,
'Know
the
LORD,'
because
they
will
all
know
me,
from
the
least
of
them
to
the
greatest,"
declares
the
LORD.
"For
I
will
forgive
their
wickedness
and
will
remember
their
sins
no
more."
And
I
saw
the
dead,
great
and
small,
standing
before
the
throne,
and
books
were
opened.
Another
book
was
opened,
which
is
the
book
of
life.
The
dead
were
judged
according
to
what
they
had
done
as
recorded
in
the
books.
Revelation
20:12
The
sea
gave
up
the
dead
that
were
in
it,
and
death
and
Hades
gave
up
the
dead
that
were
in
them,
and
each
person
was
judged
according
to
what
he
had
done.
Revelation
20:13
Then
they
asked
him,
"What
must
we
do
to
do
the
works
God
requires?"
Jesus
answered,
"The
work
of
God
is
this:
to
believe
in
the
one
he
has
sent."
John
6:28,29
For
it
is
by
grace
you
have
been
saved,
through
faith--and
this
not
from
yourselves,
it
is
the
gift
of
God--
not
by
works,
so
that
no
one
can
boast.
For
we
are
God's
workmanship,
created
in
Christ
Jesus
to
do
good
works,
which
God
prepared
in
advance
for
us
to
do.
Ephesians
2:8-10
John
8:12
When
Jesus
spoke
again
to
the
people,
he
said,
“I
am
the
light
of
the
world.
Whoever
follows
me
will
never
walk
in
darkness,
but
will
have
the
light
of
life.”
This
is
the
verdict:
Light
has
come
into
the
world,
but
men
loved
darkness
instead
of
light
because
their
deeds
were
evil.
Everyone
who
does
evil
hates
the
light,
and
will
not
come
into
the
light
for
fear
that
his
deeds
will
be
exposed.
But
whoever
lives
by
the
truth
comes
into
the
light,
so
that
it
may
be
seen
plainly
that
what
he
has
done
has
been
done
through
God.
