James
3
Not
many
of
you
should
presume
to
be
teachers,
my
brothers,
because
you
know
that
we
who
teach
will
be
judged
more
strictly.
James
3:1
Why
is
the
bar
set
so
high
for
teachers?
Matthew
18:6
But
if
anyone
causes
one
of
these
little
ones
who
believe
in
me
to
sin,
it
would
be
better
for
him
to
have
a
large
millstone
hung
around
his
neck
and
to
be
drowned
in
the
depths
of
the
sea.
Teachers
are
entrusted
with
Christ’s
“little
Ones”
They
will
secretly
introduce
destructive
heresies,
even
denying
the
sovereign
Lord
who
bought
them--bringing
swift
destruction
on
themselves.
But
there
were
also
false
prophets
among
the
people,
just
as
there
will
be
false
teachers
among
you.
2
Peter
2:1
"Woe
to
you,
teachers
of
the
law
and
Pharisees,
you
hypocrites!
You
shut
the
kingdom
of
heaven
in
men's
faces.
You
yourselves
do
not
enter,
nor
will
you
let
those
enter
who
are
trying
to.

Proverbs
12:18a
How
would
anyone
dare
to
be
a
teacher?
but
the
tongue
of
the
wise
brings
healing.

James
3:2
We
all
stumble
in
many
ways.
If
anyone
is
never
at
fault
in
what
he
says,
he
is
a
perfect
man,
able
to
keep
his
whole
body
in
check.

it

The
tongue
also
is
a
fire,
a
world
of
evil
among
the
parts
of
the

It
corrupts

James

and
is
itself
set

hell.
Proverbs
18:21
The
tongue

the
power
of
life
and
death,
and
those
who
love
it
will
eat
its
fruit.

James
3:7
All
kinds
of
animals,
birds,
reptiles
and
creatures
of
the
sea
are
being
tamed
and
have
been
tamed
by
man,
but
no
man
can
tame
the
tongue.
It
is
a
restless
evil,
full
of
deadly
poison.
James
3:8
With
the
tongue
we
praise
our
Lord
and
Father,
James
3:9,10
Out
of
the
same
mouth
come
praise
and
cursing.
My
brothers,
this
should
not
be.
and
with
it
we
curse
men,
who
have
been
made
in
God's
likeness.
James
1:8
he
is
a
double-minded
man,
unstable
in
all
he
does.
James
3:11
Can
both
fresh
water
and
salt
water
flow
from
the
same
spring?
James
3:12
My
brothers,
can
a
fig
tree
bear
olives,
or
a
grapevine
bear
figs?
Neither
can
a
salt
spring
produce
fresh
water.

Don't

The

ever
lived
I,
the

was
king
over
Israel
in
Jerusalem.
I
devoted
myself
to
study

to
explore
by
wisdom
all
that

Ecclesiastes

Ecclesiastes
12:8
Meaningless!
Meaningless!
Utterly
meaningless!
Everything
is
meaningless.
Ecclesiastes
12:13
Now
all
has
been
heard;
here
is
the
conclusion
of
the
matter:
Fear
God
and
keep
his
commandments,
for
this
is
the
whole
duty
of
man.
Psalms
111:10a
The
fear
of
the
LORD
is
the
beginning
of
wisdom;
all
who
follow
his
precepts
have
good
understanding.
