This is how to add a Blackboard Wiki to your course. In the Control Panel, click the down arrow next to 'Course Tools' and select 'Wikis.' Here we are on the 'Wikis' page. Click the button to 'Create Wiki.' Give the Wiki a title, and instructions to the students. In section 2, be sure that 'Yes' is selected next to 'Wiki Availability' to make it available or, you could select other options for availability. In section 3, be sure that 'Open to Editing' is selected so students can edit the Wiki. In section 4, you can choose to grade the Wiki if you wish. To grade the Wiki , click the button next to next to 'Grade' and assign points possible. If you grade the Wiki, a column will be automatically created in the Grade Center. Click 'Submit.' We see that the Wiki is created (success bar). Students could access it from this Wiki page. To create a link to the Wiki in another place in your course, navigate to the area in which is like to place the link. I'd like to have it here in Week 1. Click the down arrow next to 'Add Interactive Tool' and select 'Wiki.' This brings up the 'Create Link: Wiki' page. We've already created the Wiki so we don't need to link back to the Wikis page. Click next to 'Link to a Wiki' select the Wiki we just created; all Wikis come up in this list. Click 'Next.' Here again we see our instructions and our options; you can review them, and if everything is alright, click 'Submit.' Here is a link to the Wiki in Week 1. You can use the drag and drop arrows to put it anywhere you'd like in the list.
