Welcome to the ESP for Oil and Gas Easy
Navigation Overview. This video highlights how our new navigation
makes ESP more intuitive than ever. The ESP Menu Bar is at the top with our new
logo. In addition to our language translation links, we
now provide one-click access to help files,
videos, and our helpdesk. Clicking helpdesk is the best way to contact us
for support. The AtTask logo is still right underneath, but we’ve
totally simplified navigation from there. Now, there are only two options to choose from:
Projects and Reporting. The Projects link is where you do your work. The Reporting link is where you view reports of
interest. Under Projects, everyone in ESP now sees three
dashboards. The first dashboard is ESP Traffic Lights. This is where you enter information that you owe
to the team to either evaluate a Prospect or to get
a Project ready to go. Active Prospects are shown first in an ESP
Worksheet, which means that the data is
editable. The Worksheet lists each Prospect and shows a
single Traffic Light for each Department. ESP’s Traffic Light rules are always the same. Black means ignore, clear means new, yellow
means in progress, red means alert, and green
means go. You can easily drill down to any Department view
and see exactly which data is driving the Traffic
Light. To help each department focus on the right
priorities, the Worksheet is also grouped by
Prospect Rank. You can use our ESP Traffic Light rules and
Prospect Rank right out of the box, or reconfigure
them to map precisely to your existing process. Once a Prospect is green enough, you can
change its status to move it to the Resolved
Report. From there, you can optionally add an Approval
Path to seamlessly complete your Project
Initiation process. Your executives can then approve projects with
minimal administration and better information. ESP makes it clear which Prospects are ready to
convert into real Projects. When you’re ready, simply select the appropriate
Template and choose the Project’s Planned Start
Date. ESP includes dozens of Oil & Gas Templates for
BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, or Texas; for Crown or Freehold; for oil or gas; for seismic;
for facilities, and so on. The Projects Worksheet is at the bottom of the
Traffic Lights dashboard, and works in the same
manner. ESP preserves all of the Prospect information
each Department entered earlier, and also adds
more details for due diligence. As with Prospects, each person can switch to
their department and edit the key information that
each Project needs until it is ready to go. The second dashboard is ESP My Tasks and
Issues. This is where you execute your Tasks and
resolve your Issues. Your Good to Go Tasks are shown first, since
they impact timelines. Our powerful new ESP Edit Task view makes
updating Tasks easy and efficient. You can hover over each column to learn how it
works. Each column’s tooltip lists the full parameter
name, the business rules that drive any special
colours, and some background and hints for context. The Project Status Icons show the overall Project
Status, and you can click them to view or to add
Notes, Documents, and Issues to the Project. The Handoff Date shows when the Task became
Good To Go, and can be sorted to find the oldest
and newest entries. You can then compare it against the Planned
Start Date to choose whether to catch up, or get
ahead. The Planned Completion Date is automatically
compared against the Projected Completion
Date, and then highlighted to help focus on Late or At
Risk items. You can then edit the Task’s Status, Percent
Complete, Actual Start, and Actual End right
within the Worksheet. So update early and often: the more accurate
your values, the more accurate the overall
Projections. The ESP My Open Issues Worksheet is shown
next, down below. It shows every open Issue that was either raised
by you, or was assigned to you, and is grouped
by Priority, by Assigned To. Our convenient new ESP Edit Issue view makes
updating Issues fast and simple. Each column’s tooltip lists the parameter name,
business rules, background and hints, just like
the Edit Task view earlier. The Project icons work the same way, too, and
the colours are designed to draw your attention to
the most important items. When editing an Issue, you can easily change the
Priority, reword the Issue, adjust the Planned
Hours or Completion Date, and reassign it as needed. You can use a simple convention to quickly keep
a running thread of an Issue’s progress in its
description field. You can attach pictures or spreadsheets using
the Documents Icons. The Notes Icon is also great way to copy and
paste longer additional information such as
emails Using these techniques, ESP can help you
reduce project emails significantly, and store
them in a much more accessible location. The third dashboard is Department specific,
depending on who logs in. ESP comes with Department Dashboards for
Exploitation, Exploration, Mineral Land, Surface Land, HSE, D&C, Tie in and Facility, and
Production. Each dashboard is tailored to help the
Department Team logically execute the work they
need to get done. For specific information about each Department
Dashboard, please refer to our other training
videos. So: having shown how the Projects link is where
you do your work, let’s move to the Reporting link,
where you view reports of interest. The first dashboard is called ESP Home. ESP Home includes several activity charts that
show who’s been editing information, and a
corporate social calendar. You can easily add other items to ESP Home too,
such as your corporate homepage, a Stock Ticker, the Weather, the company Sports
Pool, and so on. The second dashboard is for ESP Team Issues. All open Issues across all Projects are presented
in one place, and conveniently split into sections
by Issue Type. Each Department can speak to the Issues in their
section, making updates and decisions right on
the spot. The Worksheets themselves are just like the My
Issues Worksheet shown earlier, but with an extra Root Cause dropdown shown
for additional classification and reporting. This is a great format for weekly team meetings
and will save everyone a lot of time. At the bottom of the dashboard, ESP offers an
interesting way to visualize and manage Issues:
our ESP Team Issues Tornado charts. Both charts summarize the Open Issues due
within 4 weeks either way from today, grouped by
the Type of Issue. Think of the zero mark as the finish line, with the
objective being to push Open Issues across from
the left. The left chart is simply a count of the Open
Issues, where the right shows the planned effort
involved. At a glance, you can quickly spot who is busy,
and adjust your plans to help catch up. The third dashboard is the Operational Schedule. This is a common dashboard that shows
everyone which stage each Project is at. The Wellsite Prepatory Milestones matrix lists
each Project that is still being prepared for
Drilling. As the teams make progress on their respective
tasks, the mini-milestone dates automatically fill
in from left to right. This makes it easy to see what’s coming, and
what’s stalled. The D&C Ready for Drill report groups the Drilling
Tasks by Rig, in Planned Drilling order. ESP’s Smart Views add colours to indicate the
status of each Project. A Project that still needs licensing will turn from
blue, to yellow, to red as the Plan Start date
approaches, and green once the license is obtained. Conversely, a well with an expiry will turn from
white, to yellow, to red as the Expiry Date
approaches, and green once the well is spudded. Whenever you see red on a Projected Start Date,
it means that a Task ahead of the Drill has
slipped, and that re-planning might be required. There are some optional fields shown for context,
such as Working Interest, Depth, and Well Risk. There is a Ready for Drill Traffic Light too, which
you can drill down into to find the cause of any
delays. Flipping back to the Report Default, you can see
the familiar Project Icons and use them to
navigate or add documents, notes, and Issues. Finally, the Spud date is shown for reference, and
once the Rig Release is filled in, the Task will
automatically move down to the next Report. The remaining reports work in a similar fashion. The Exploitation Ready for Completion Decision
report shows Projects awaiting a Completion Go
or No Go. Go’s automatically move down, but No Go’s are
automatically removed from the Operational
Schedule. The D&C Ready for Completion Prep report lists
Projects ready to be prepared for Completion. The D&C Ready for Stimulation report lists
Projects to be Fracked or Stimulated. The D&C Ready for Flow Clean-up report lists
Projects ready for Cleanup. The Exploitation Ready for Tie in Decision report
shows Projects awaiting a Tie in Go or No Go. Again, Go’s move down, but No Go’s are
removed. Following those Wellsite reports, similar reports
from a Pipeline perspective are shown. The Prepatory Milestones and Tie In and Facility
Reports work just like their Wellsite counterparts. The Tie in and Facility Equipping report tracks the
Projects that are Ready to Equip. And finally, the Operations Schedule ends with
the Production on Prod within the Past 30 Days
report, for easy access. The remaining dashboards within the Reporting
section are Department Specific. ESP comes with default Report Dashboards for
Exploitation, Exploration, Mineral Land, Surface Land, HSE, D&C, Tie in and Facility, and
Production. Each tab is tailored to help the Department Team
easily locate the information they need. For specific information about each Report
Dashboard, please refer to our other training
videos. So that's it. Priorities move. Priorities move.
Timelines adjust. Priorities move.
Timelines adjust.
But with ESP, Priorities move.
Timelines adjust.
But with ESP, you see: Priorities move.
Timelines adjust.
But with ESP, you see: well ahead.
