REVELATION • Victory in Jesus • LESSON 12 July 1) Revelation 6-7: Salvation Belongs to Our God! 1. Having read Revelation 6:1-8, what should we make of the fact that these horsemen appear only when one of the four living creatures around the throne of the Lord God Almighty says, "Come"?2. Remember the immediate context: "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this" (4:1). With that context in mind, what do you think is being represented by:• The white horse -• The red horse -• The black horse -• The pale horse -3. Revelation 6:9-11 is a fascinating scene. What do we learn from it?4. Revelation 6:12-17 is not the first time we run across this sort of language in the Bible. Can you find other similar instances? If so, what do they mean? What is the Lord God Almighty communicating?5. For someone of great authority to "seal" something carried great significance. What is being revealed in the sealing of 144,000 from every tribe of the sons of Israel (7:1-8)?6. In Revelation 7:9-12, the scene evolves to include "a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages." What is the message behind what John has just seen?7. In your own words, "who are these, clothed in white robes" (7:13-14)?8. Revelation 7:15-17 is a precious anthem. How should its God-breathed words shape our understanding of life on this earth and beyond?
