1. Notice how the glorified Christ describes himself in Revelation 3:7. What does he mean by those references? 2. “Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut” (3:8). When God says things like this, what does he intend for his people to understand and do? 3. What should we make of Jesus’ promise in Revelation 3:9? 4. “Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown” (3:11). What does this admonition imply? 5. What would it mean to be “made” a “pillar in the temple” of God (3:12)? 6. Jesus lamented in his communication with Laodicea, “Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth”(3:15-16). What’s the problem with being “lukewarm”? 7. How can a person or even a group of people be so mistaken about their true condition (3:17)? Practically speaking, how can we avoid falling into the same trap?8. How would you summarize Jesus’ prescription in Revelation 3:18? 9. Why is it vitally important that every child of God understand the truth of Revelation 3:19? 10. What is Jesus promising in Revelation 3:20?
