Five Iraqi labor leaders who visited the U.S. to attend the AFL-CIO convention in Pittsburgh traveled to NYC, Philadelphia and Washington, DC to speak at events organized by affiliates of U.S. Labor Against the War. This event on Friday September 18 took place in NYC at 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East. It was moderated by 1199 Executive Vice President Steve Kramer and was simulcast via closed circuit TV to union facilities in Boston, Buffalo, Syracuse and Rochester. A similar event had been held at the union the night before.
