This was very helpful. However, won't my viewers still get black bars unless their screen size/resolution is the same as mine (or even if they don't view in full screen)?

Thanks, I see how this video would help me if I had the same version of PPT :D Unfortunately, even though I found the Page Setup page, and it even has the same dropdown menu as yours showed, there weren't any options that fit my screen's aspect ratio.

Thanks - but I already produced a 90 slide power point and when I change the resolution in PPT everything is distorted. I have black bars ALL AROUND the presentation - very sad ... I cannot use your advice in this case

This perfectly explains the issue and how to correct it. Unfortunately, as my presentation is set to 8.5x11 paper, the necessary changes mean completely re-doing all slides. This is not trivial. This information is so foundational that it should be part of your core curriculum. A fantastic enhancement to your product would be to adjust for this. I now have an editing nightmare.
