The Triune Nature OF God - We move into this idea of the triune nature of God. We understand that tri means something involving three. On the material at the top of page 39, one of the most interesting yet difficult aspects of the one true God to understand is His triune nature. We struggle with our limited human understanding to wrap our minds around how can there be one God and yet three who share the essence of that God. Hopefully, you have had time to look at the material, these authors have done a fantastic job walking us through some of this. If you haven’t had a chance, I encourage you to go back through with an open Bible and carefully read it because we only have time to hit some of the hit point. We begin in Deuteronomy 6:4, is what even modern day Jews describe as the Shema. This is one of the most precious statements in all of Jewish religious history. We just notice the very beginning of it in Deuteronomy 6:4.  God invites or Moses with the help of God of course invites Israel to hear this first foundational statement, “The Lord”, we talked about that designation in week two, Yahweh/ Jehovah, the One who has always been, the one who is, the one who will always be, “Yahweh or God” (Yahweh/Jehovah) “is one”. And he goes on to tell them that they must love Him with every aspect of their being….
