as for me, i would recommend this skype recorder http://www.imcapture.com/IMCapture_for_Skype/, it's very nice!)

when i do that it says audio file could not be opened :(

Hi, When I click on record system audio on camtasia 7 it still doesn't record it? Any ideas?

You may also want to try MX SkypeRecorder http://skyperec.com/ which seems quite stable. Well, at least it never let me down unlike other apps. Hope it'll help.
