God’s Power to Overcome Sin Relying on Jesus’ Grace Today– Week 32Just very very briefly, to recap where we have been. It’s important for us to keep our bearings as to what we have already talked about because it is absolutely impossible to talk about every aspect of God’s grace in one 35 minute period. So we are very very much laying layer upon layer as this quarter goes along. Of course, we are talking about God’s grace this quarter as power to overcome sin. Okay, that’s very important and that’s going to come out even more in our discussion today. But, we began in week 1 in Romans 7, we read a lengthy passage, and we ended with Romans 7:24 with Paul saying, “Wretched man that I am, who will deliver me from this body death”. That is the bad news, that is problem because we can determine in our heads to do and to be one thing but we lose the battle against the flesh. Each and every one of us, we all sin and fall short of the glory of God. That is the bad news. The good news was in traduced to us from Romans 7:25, “Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord”. There is good news that can trump our bad news and that good news comes through and exists in Jesus Christ our Lord… Grace: God's Power to Overcome Sin (Student Workbook)Want to know more about Grace?
