Experts in aging and the American public do not share a common understanding of older adults, according to recent research by The FrameWorks Institute. This web seminar is for everyone who is interested in improving aging services and policies by learning about and then disseminating insights for more effective communication about aging. The research was commissioned by a coalition of eight national aging organizations including AARP; the American Federation for Aging Research; the American Geriatrics Society;  the American Society on Aging; the Gerontological Society of America; Grantmakers in Aging; the National Council on Aging; and, the National Hispanic Council on Aging.Laura A. Robbins, principal at LARC (Laura A. Robbins Consulting, LLC) will provide background and context for this research. Susan Nall Bales, president, and Nat Kendall-Taylor, vice president for research, The FrameWorks Institute, will give a summary of the research’s key findings. The web seminar will conclude with a discussion of implications and next steps. John Feather, CEO of Grantmakers in Aging, moderates the session.
