God Is Spirit and Is Holy - That leads us this morning to two very very great ideas or characteristics about God and about His. The first of those is He Is Spirit, right? Right off the bat when you hear that, God is Spirit, what do you think of when you hear that phrase and you think about His nature? What does that mean, the idea that God is spirit? There are very profound ways in that He is outside of much of what we’re familiar with as far as limitations and boundaries. He is outside of that, He is beyond that, He is more perfect than those things. He doesn’t have a body the way that we have, right? One of the most familiar ways that that is introduced to us is in the John 4, this of course is the Son of God talking to the Samaritan woman at the well. And He says in John 4:24, “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth”.  We’re going to notice more than one time this sort of logical flow in the Bible, this is who God is and this is what it means for you, this is who God is and this is who you ought to be in light of who God is. In Luke 24:39 we are told, “For a spirit does not have flesh and bonce as you see that I have”, Jesus says following His resurrection….
