God’s Grace is Sufficient – Week 30Okay! 1 Corinthians 15 is where we are going to start here in just a few moments. We’re glad you’re here this morning. Of course this quarter we are talking about grace and looking at it particularly from the standpoint of grace as God’s power to overcome sin. Just a very very quick recap. I asked you to open your Bibles there to 1 Corinthians 15 look at verse 56. 1 Corinthians 15:56 does a great job of encapsulating what we talked about in week 1. 1 Corinthians 15:56 the Apostle Paul says, “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law”, that was really lesson 1, we weren’t in 1 Corinthians 15 we were in Romans 7, but if you were here you know that we learn from the Apostle Paul that it is one thing to want to overcome sin, it is another thing to be able to say and willing to say as the Apostle Paul, the good that I want to do I do not do. The things that I know are wrong I keep on doing. Left to our own devices sin masters us, we become enslaved. Right? From the standpoint of 1 Corinthians 15:56, “The sting of death is sin”, sin is going to produce naturally the fruit of death.
