Add or Delete an Attachment

Add Attachments to Your Content

Attachments are exactly what they sound like: additional files that accompany a piece of content. They could include presentation slides that accompany a screencast, a text document with a transcript of the audio, or an mp3 file for a podcast.

  • An attachment can be any kind of file.
  • Attachments are not embedded on the view page; they are only available for download.
  • Important Note for Pro Account Holders: The ability to have attachments available to your viewers is controlled by a folder's View Page template. If a folder's template has disabled the Attachment tab, the option will not be available to your audience. For more information, see Customize What Your Viewers See.

Add an Attachment

  1. Double-click on a piece of content to view it.
  2. Click the Attachments tab.
  3. Click the Upload Attachments button.
  4. Click the Browse button. Browse and select the files to be attached.
  5. Click Open. The upload will begin immediately.
  6. When all of the files have uploaded, click Done.

Delete an Attachment

  1. Double-click on a piece of content to view it.
  2. Click the Attachments tab.
  3. Click the red X to the right of an attachment. The delete will occur immediately.

Replace a Piece of Content with the Attachment

You can replace or swap a piece of content with a file that you have uploaded as an attachment. This is a useful way to change the content associated with a URL without breaking the link.

Important Note:You cannot replace the main media file with any attachment if it is a Camtasia Studio 6.x mp4/swf video that includes a table of contents and uses the "Produce multiple files based on my Markers" option.

  1. Double-click on a piece of content to view it.
  2. Click the Attachments tab.
  3. Click the Upload Attachments button.
  4. Click the Browse button. Browse and select the file to be swapped.
  5. Click Open. The upload will begin immediately.
  6. Click the red Up Arrow to the right of an attachment. The current file becomes an attachment and the attachment becomes embedded on the view page.
