There are several ways to upload content to Screencast.com:
Upload content from within the library using the Web Uploader.
Upload content using the Mac or Windows Desktop Uploader.
Upload content directly from other TechSmith products like Camtasia Studio and Jing.
This tutorial discusses options 1 and 2. For information on uploading from other TechSmith applications, consult that application's help file.
Content hosted on Screencast.com is not compressed or re-encoded into a “one-size-fits-all” format and the integrity of your original content is protected. However, your content may be resized within the View Page in order to provide the best viewing experience for your audience. Viewers of your content are always able to see your content at its original size using the Full size option provided on the View Page.
Upload Files Smaller than 100MB (Web Uploader)
In the library's left navigation pane, click the Upload Content button. The Upload Content dialog box appears.
Click Browse.
Select the files to upload.
Click Open. The files begin to upload.
Once the files finish uploading, click Close. The files are in the library or folder.
Upload Files Larger than 100MB (Desktop Uploader)
To upload files larger than 100MB, use the Desktop Uploader. This is a free utility that you will download and install.
In the library's left navigation pane, click the Upload Content button. The Upload Content dialog box appears.
Click the Desktop Uploader link. You are taken to the Tools page.
Click the Windows Uploader link or Mac Uploader link. The download begins.
After downloading, open the file to begin the install. Step through the wizard and click Finish when the install is complete. The Desktop Uploader will be open and ready to use.
Click Add Files and select the files to upload or, drag files and drop directly on the uploader. the uploading will begin automatically.
When all of the files have been added, click Quit.
